Minnesota Beef Council Unveils New Website

Becky Church | March 20, 2018

After 50 years, the Minnesota Beef Council unveils a bold new website and freshly-styled brand. The updated look showcases beef in the center, just as it remains center of the plate for consumers.

As consumers seek to understand, we are catering to the information they want and providing it in ways which they are most excited to receive. The beef industry is performing effectively and responsibly each day whether consumers realize it or not. In order to increase awareness and trust, we are bringing the information and faces behind the product to the consumer's back door through our website and social media.

With a new look that is clean, simple and bold, we are excited to offer a freshly branded look plus website that is easy to navigate and packed with insightful yet practical tips, tricks and tidbits.

The new Minnesota Beef Council logo places beef at the center of mind and center of plate.

On the new website, viewers will gain access to hundreds of tested recipes, nutrition statistics and kitchen hacks.

The arsenal of recipes makes it a one-stop shop for breakfast, lunch and dinner planning, and includes different variations on each recipe depending on the cooking method which you prefer. So whether you're a grill boss or braiser, Instant Pot lover or stovetop sous-chef, it's guaranteed that you will find something suitable for your taste! Viewers are also able to explore different beef cuts through an interactive meat counter experience which even includes a “butcher’s note,” for preparation ease and clarification.

If you're into your fitness and nutrition, you'll surely want to check out our "Nutrition" page. Here you will discover beef's protein-packed nutrient profile, plus lean beef suggestions and simple ways to eat beef no matter your age or activity level. After all, beef doesn't discriminate with it's versatility and insane health benefits!

While the recipes are extremely popular, the Minnesota Beef Council acknowledges the fact that consumers are more aware of their eating choices and buying behavior than ever before. In order to bridge the gap from farmer to fork, Minnesota Beef is featuring local beef farmers who are producing the product first-hand. On the "Raising Beef" page, you’ll gain access to videos that were produced on local Minnesota cow-calf operations and feedyards. Our farmers are revolutionary, and continue to implement safe innovations and technology to raise your beef responsibly and ethically.

The videos give consumers the ability to feel like they are right there alongside our beef farming community, as if they are helping with chores in their own pair of boots. Our beef producers desire to share their story and gain trust from consumers who are craving more information that ever before. We want to connect consumers with real farmers, tested research and applicable yet practical insight to current trends happening on the farm and in the kitchen.

Karin Schaefer, Executive Director, says, “As a staff, we want consumers to feel comfortable coming to us with any beef questions or concerns. We are also consumers, and care about the choices that we make for ourselves and our families."

This coming year, followers can expect to see us taking a more personal approach to the information that we share through videos in our kitchen, on social media and through our weekly blog posts. It will be light-hearted, and laughs will be shared. Most importantly, we will share tips and tricks to help you have the best beef eating experience.

New year, new us. And, we know you're really going to love it.
