Hello! My name is Ashley Kraemer and I was just hired as the new Communications Director for the Minnesota Beef Council. I will be the one continuing on with these blog posts and therefore, felt it was appropriate to introduce myself! As the Communications Director, I will also be responsible for the creation of other digital content, managing social media, and carrying out consumer education. I will be helping to strengthen beef demand by promoting it as a safe, healthy, sustainable, and delicious product.

A little bit about me - I was raised in Osakis, Minnesota on a 5th-generation farm, which is currently a beef and crop operation that my family owns. I have two siblings: an older sister and a younger brother. I also now have a little 9-month-old niece that I simply adore. After graduating high school, I went on to receive my bachelor's degree in Nutrition with a minor in Psychology from the College of Saint Benedict/Saint John's University (Now there will be two Bennies in the office!). Most recently, I worked as a health and physical education teacher, which has given me a lot of skills in teaching nutrition-related information that I feel will be helpful in educating consumers and producers about the healthful benefits of beef.
I am excited to be working for the Minnesota Beef Council to put my passion for the agricultural industry into action and promote beef in a positive way. Being raised on a farm has set a foundation for the values in my life and I feel fortunate to be working in agriculture to continue on with my family's tradition. I am looking forward to building positive relationships with Minnesota beef farmers and ranchers and to work for an industry that is so vital to our everyday lives.
My first day on staff was July 6. You can reach me at [email protected] or at (320) 766-2050.
Until next time,
Ashley Kraemer
